Recall: Rhino Male Enhancement Pills

Boynton Beach, Florida–In response to the FDA’s analysis, Happy Together, Inc., issued a voluntary recall of its Rhino 5k capsules. The product, which is distributed to consumers via the Internet, is marketed as a dietary supplement for male enhancement, but tests conducted by the FDA revealed that these products were contaminated with sildenafil and tadalafil, the ingredients assets of Viagra and Cialis, respectively. The presence of these ingredients, which are approved by the FDA for the treatment of erectile dysfunction, makes Rhino products unapproved drugs. Customers who own Rhino 5k products are advised to stop using them and dispose of the product properly.

The recall statement clarified that men with diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol or heart disease could take drugs which, if taken with these Rhino pills, could lower blood pressure to life-threatening levels. .

To date, according to the release, Happy Together has not received any adverse event reports related to the recall. Anyone experiencing an adverse health reaction that may be related to a drug masquerading as a dietary supplement is encouraged to report it through the FDA’s MedWatch safety reporting program.

As WholeFoods previously reported, Loren Israelsen, President of the United Natural Products Alliance (UNPA), said, “Tackling the problem of fortified ingredients is a growing industry priority and a priority on which the UNPA will focus in 2019.”
